I have hesitated to broach this because my system still works, but I have had three very strange things happens since I upgraded my EXOPC Slate to Windows 8 Pro.
The first is that I have to turn it on twice every time to actually get to the opening screen. The first time, it shows the small blue window and the dashed circle for about three seconds, then goes to a black screen. Nothing I do will bring it any further until I hold the power button down until it powers off. Then, when I power it on again, it shows the small blue window and dashed circle, goes to back for a few seconds, and then shows the opening screen that I swipe up to get to the login screen. This is simply time consuming and frustrating, but I would love to fix it.
Second, my Bluetooth mice seem to sometimes stop working. The cursor still tracks the mouse movement, but I cannot click or right-click on anything on the screen. I can fix it by using a Bluetooth or USB keyboard to Crl-Alt-Del and then clicking on Task Manager (I have to click twice -- the first time seems to wake it up and the second time launches Task Manager). This happens periodically and can reoccur during the same session. The touch screen always continues to work regardless of the state of the mouse.
The third problem may simply be because Millenium doesn't work correctly with Windows 8. I can't get the EXOPC to load Task Manager using the power button and light sensor, nor can I get the program I chose in Millenium to load using the light sensor.
Any suggestions about any of these issues would be appreciated. None of them will stop me from using my EXOPC or loading Windows 7 back on it, but if I could fix them, my computing experience would be much better.
