EXOPC UI 2.0

Version 2.0 of the EXOPC UI is available for download. It is supposed to be for developers and requires registration, but I was able to get it and, trust me, I'm no developer. It is at EXOPC UI download.

It has a familiar interface, but with larger icons with fewer on each grid. The keyboard, volume, and exit icons are gone. I had to use task manager to kill it because I couldn't figure how to shut it down from within the program. Also, the applications in the store are very limited.

Fortunately, installing version 2.0 does not overwrite version 1.5 of EXOPC UI. You can use both versions simultaneously.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe you close it like other Win8 apps, by swiping down the screen?

Yes. Swiping down gets you back to the Metro screen even if you started from the desktop. However, if you try to return to the desktop, EXOPC UI is still running full-screen. You can't run other programs there until you drive a stake through its heart with Task Manager.

The UI is also available for many different operating systems including Android 2.3 and up. I will try that when I have time.
